7.3 Tutorial: Import Content as new Maps

Edumaps

Introduction

  • ✔️ You can export and import your maps easily.
  • ✔️ You can import external content as a new map on Edumaps.
  • ✔️ Only a few clicks are required for this.

Import Steps

  • To perform an import that creates a new map, click on “New Map” in the sidebar, and then select “Import Map”.
  • The following dialog will then open:

Edumaps file (json)

  • When you export a map from Edumaps, it is done in JSON format.
  • The JSON file can be imported here to create a new map.
  • Click on “Edumaps (json)”, select the file, and the map will be imported.
  • If there are uploads in the box contents (that do not originate from you), they will also be imported and appear in your upload manager.

Map from other Edumaps server

  • If you have maps on other Edumaps servers, you can import them directly using a map link.
  • Click on “Map from another server” and paste the map link.
  • The map will be imported automatically. All files will be transferred and will later appear in your upload manager.

Padlet Pinboard

  • The pinboards created on Padlet can be easily and directly imported into Edumaps.
  • You can learn how to perform the import directly on the import page:

Taskcards

  • Unfortunately, Taskcards does not provide an export function, so we cannot offer an importer.
  • Padlet and other platforms offer export functions and interfaces, so importers are available for them.
