Have texts read aloud - with a pause button at your own pace

Dictation: Autumn

How it works: Tap play, listen and write it down. With the pause button, the teacher (or anyone) can stop the dictation at any time.

Autumn is here. The leaves turn colourful and fall from the trees. In the morning, fog lies over the meadows. The children collect chestnuts and make little figures out of them.
Tip: The dictation can be played as often as needed - great for practising at home too.

Advanced Dictation

A more challenging text with commas and direct speech:

Listening to Vocabulary

Vocabulary pairs to listen to - first English, then Spanish:
the apple, the school, the bicycle, the friend, the journey
la manzana, la escuela, la bicicleta, el amigo, el viaje
Variation: Play only the Spanish track and write down the English meaning.

Pronunciation Practice

Listen to tricky words and tongue twisters and repeat them:
She sells seashells by the seashore. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers. Red lorry, yellow lorry. The sixth sick sheikh's sixth sheep is sick.
Who can manage it three times in a row without a mistake?

Audio Task Instructions

Perfect for station work: The task is read aloud, so the teacher does not have to stand at every station.
Station three: Take a worksheet from the pile. Read the story carefully and underline all the nouns with a red pen. When you are finished, place the sheet in the green tray.

Listening to a Poem

Poems and short presentations can be turned into audio as well:
The wind blows gently through the field, the sun warms up the world revealed. A bird sings out its morning song, while time keeps softly moving along.
Task: Listen to the poem twice, then say it along in the same rhythm.
