5️⃣ Case 5: Merging Two Accounts
  • You accidentally have two accounts, for example a self-registered basic account and a teacher account created by your school. There are two ways, depending on the account type:
  •  
  • A) Teacher or student accounts of the same school
  • The school admin can merge both accounts:
    1. The school admin signs in and opens the page Merge accounts.
    2. There they choose the account to keep and the account to dissolve.
    3. All maps and uploads of the dissolved account move into the remaining account.
  •  
  • B) Basic accounts (without a school)
  • Merging is not possible here. Instead, transfer the maps as in Case 2:
    1. Note all map links in the old account.
    2. Sign in with the new account, open each link, and choose "Copy map".
    3. All uploads are automatically copied into the new storage.
    4. Optional: delete the old account under My Account and then enter the email address in the new account.
  • Alternatively, the school admin can invite the basic account to the school. The user then receives a confirmation link by email. After acceptance, the school admin can perform the merge.
