  • Latin Lives!
  •
  • Under the informal yet fitting motto “Latin Lives,” the Latin students travelled to Crete to visit our partner school. This was already the return visit, as the Greek students had been our guests in December.
  • In preparation for the trip, the students worked in their Latin lessons on exactly those topics that would later come alive on site. This connection between language, history, and direct experience made the journey truly special.
  • The weather was partly on our side, but when experiencing Knossos the sun was shining - an unforgettable highlight. The impressive Minoan culture, which we usually encounter only in textbooks, suddenly stood right before our eyes.
  • Just as memorable as the historical sites was getting to know everyday school life in Greece. Our students were able to see firsthand how diverse and warmhearted school life on Crete can be.
  • The hospitality of our Greek hosts left a deep impression and demonstrated what Erasmus+ is truly about: building bridges — between countries, cultures, and people.
  • The mobility offered a harmonious mix of learning and exploration, of traditions and culture, of new impressions and familiar classroom knowledge.
  • Alongside many shared activities, there were moments that will stay with us for a long time — and perhaps even friendships that will last a lifetime.
  • The Erasmus+ trip to Crete was a great success and once again showed:
  • Latin lives — and it connects.
